I am a Stony Brook University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies. While at Stony Brook I was a member of the Women’s Basketball Team, helping my team to the fourth best turn around in the NCAA. I was able to maintain a 3.0 GPA while devoting forty plus hours a week to my sport and team. After college, I played for Team USA in the World Maccabiah Games, which took place in Israel, and helped my team to take home the Gold Medal. While overseas, I was presented great opportunities to play Professional Basketball in Israel, which resulted in signing my first professional contract and two seasons abroad.
I have been a basketball player my entire life, so basketball is certainly my passion and love, but most recently, I have been involved in Crossfit and Powerlifting, finding much joy in working out in the community setting.
My favorite healthy snack is a Gala or Fiji apple with Sunbutter spread.
I am Fit 4 Life NYC because I am a direct testament to the benefits sports can have on the youth. Not only are sports about physical fitness and FUN, but also about the importance of confidence and self-worth, both of which I attained a great deal of through my years as an athlete.
